Learn more about Minerva's unique direct specialty care model and transparent fee structure

What is Direct Specialty Care?
Direct specialty care is medical care that provides direct communication and collaboration between patient and physician. We do not accept insurance plans, as many insurance plans do not allow for the time and attention needed to address the complex needs of patients with neurologic disorders. Our unique approach means no long wait times, no rushed appointments, no gate-keeping or repetitive phone tag. Just simple, direct care with Dr. Raverty when and how you need it. Costs involved in becoming a patient are outlined below.
Your First Visit
If you are new to Minerva, you will be scheduled for a new patient consultation appointment. This appointment lasts 2+ hours depending upon your needs and will include discussion of your medical history, medications, current functional status and daily living, as well as rehabilitation-focused examination. The cost of this one-time appointment is $500.

Follow Up Care
What Happens Next
If you and Dr. Raverty find that Minerva is a good fit for you, you may enroll in ongoing care through our monthly enrollment option. For a flat monthly fee of $250 you will have direct access to care for your rehabilitation needs. This includes offering at least monthly clinic visits with Dr. Raverty, either in person or telemedicine, as well as direct access to talk with Dr. Raverty between visits whenever you may need it. Minerva's goal is to keep you out of the emergency department and hospital, and we believe that early, responsive intervention is essential to accomplish this. Medication refills, concerns about new symptoms, trouble with home equipment or therapy needs, or simply a second set of eyes and ears on something that doesn't seem right, all of this and more is covered without restrictions or long-term contracts.
Reviewing Your Care
If you have concerns about your care or find that care with Minerva is no longer right for you, Dr. Raverty is happy to chat about your options to continue, modify or stop your enrollment in the clinic. We believe that honest, human communication is key, whether or not you are a Minerva patient, and we aim to provide that at every step of your care.
