About Dr. Raverty
Dr. Raverty is originally from Scandia, Minnesota and is a lifelong Minnesotan. The daughter of an electrician and a nurse, her interest in medicine began early as she began volunteering at local hospital as a teenager. She graduated from Hamline University in St. Paul in 2004 with degrees in Biochemistry and English, while also working as a nursing assistant at a St. Paul hospital.
Following this, she worked at a local spine surgeons’ office prior to starting medical school at the University of Minnesota in 2006. While in medical school, she built upon the interest in neurologic and musculoskeletal conditions that she developed while working at the spine surgery clinic, and ultimately chose to pursue a residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
Upon completion of her residency program, she began practicing in the Twin Cities in both a private healthcare system and a large federal facility. During that time, she focused primarily on rehabilitation services for those with neurologic conditions, and served as the co-director of the Multiple Sclerosis program for a large local facility. The challenges that these systems posed inspired Dr. Raverty to pursue something new, and Minerva Rehabilitation Medicine was born.
